Green Freight and Logistics in Southeast Asia
Bangkok 1 to 2 June 2016
Government officials, international experts, and private representatives from Southeast Asian countries met in Bangkok for two days to develop a regional agenda to scale up ‘green freight’ in the region.
Around 80 delegates attended to share experiences from existing efforts to improve freight transport efficiency and prioritize measures for national and regional action plans.
Preeminent global green freight expert Prof. Alan McKinnon delivered the keynote and a new EU Switch-Asia Project titled ‘Sustainable Freight Transport and Logistics in the GMS’ was launched.
The event was organized by GIZ, Clean Air Asia, and the GMS Core Environment Program.
