The 15^th Working Group on Environment Annual Meeting was held in Bangkok, Thailand on 2-3 July 2009. The meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Ampan Pintukanok, Director, International Cooperation on Natural Resources and Environment of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) of Thailand, and Mr. Pavit Ramachandran, Environment Specialist (Regional Cooperation), Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Division, Southeast Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank.

The theme of the meeting was "Sharing Future Perspectives". Co-financiers, current and potential partners of the Core Environment Program-Biodiversity Conservation Corridors Initiative gave their institutional perspectives on current and emerging environmental priorities in the GMS, within the context of the GMS Economic Cooperation Program. The ideas and discussions stemming from the meeting are envisaged to shape and add direction to the planning of Phase II of the CEP-BCI.
