EOC Map Tools - EOC Offline Map Tool
The EOC Offline Map Tool is a stand-alone solution designed to complement the EOC Online Map Tool for users who do not have ready access to high-speed internet.
The tool uses ESRI ArcReader as a free GIS data viewer, and comes with predesigned layout and a package of socioeconomic and environmental data on the GMS,
among them settlements, infrastructure, key development projects, protected areas, BCI Pilot Sites, hydrological data, topography, and satellite imagery.
The Offline Map Tool is distributed through DVD containing the ESRI ArcReader Software, the ArcPublisher file, and the GIS information.
The first version has been made available since June 2007.
Data updates will be announced through the EOC website and either made available as downloads or distributed on DVD to interested users.
