The Trainee Program is part of the Core Environment Program's capacity-building efforts within the GMS. To be considered for the program, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's level, preferably in the following fields: agriculture and natural resources, environment, energy, transport, tourism
  • Proficient in oral and written English
  • National of any of the GMS countries
  • A 1,000-word essay describing the applicant's field of interest and future career plans

The EOC will cover the travel costs of the successful applicant (to and from Bangkok, Thailand) and provide a modest monthly allowance.
