Strategic Environmental Assessment of Hydropower
Final Workshop

SEI team, GoV working group, EOC representatives, wider stakeholder group from GoV agencies, donors, NGOs, Mekong regional representatives.

Objectives
A workshop to review the overall conclusions of the SEA and the recommendations for future actions. The workshop presented the detailed analysis of the social, economic and environmental factors associated with hydropower development, assess the nature and intensity of risks associated with different scenarios for power generation mixes, outline the details of mitigation options for different aspects of social and environmental impacts and specify the recommendations for changes to hydropower planning and development as part of the power development planning system.
