Introducing Modeling
for Strategic Environmental Assessment in Danang

30^th Novermber - 1^st December 2009, Danang, Viet Nam.

Environment Operations Center (EOC) and Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) held a two day workshop introducing modeling as part of Strategic Environmental Assessment in Danang, Viet Nam, on November 30^th - December 1^st.

The workshop introduced two models focusing on biodiversity and land use to 20 experts from Quang Nam province and Hanoi. The agencies represented in the workshop included Quang Nam DONRE, Quang Nam Department of Industry and Trade and Institute of Strategy and Policy On Natural Resources and Environment (ISPONRE) from the Ministry Of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE).

The models will help to formulate land use scenarios in the Strategic Environmental Assessment of Quang Nam Land Use Planning 2011-2020.
